Greetings from Gen from the Veranda. I am currently working full time and persuing my degree part time and for one of my classes one of my tasks is to establish a blog.
Many years ago I decided to take a six month break from school to work for a bit and make some money and that "break" turned into nine years. No regrets though because when I left for the "break" I started at a company where I learned so much, advanced in positions and established some wonderful relationships with people I will know for life.
During my employment at that company I was a smoker (please note: not promoting it in any way or supporting it but stating it cause it leads somewhere) and we would go out on the "veranda" for breaks. Many people were smokers at the time, my first boss included, and I was always amazed at how much was learned about the goings on of the company on that "veranda"! So when I had to come up with a name for a blog on which I would share my thoughts I went back to the "veranda" where I always observed as well as shared so many viewpoints and facts. Hope this "veranda" will have the same affect.
